The "Fishers of Men" Dinner is our local annual event where you can participate and show your support for the Mission of The Guadalupe Radio Network in the Amarillo listening area:
The Salvation of Souls through the powerful means of Radio and Digital Media!
The La Promesa Foundation, which operates the Guadalupe Radio Network (GRN), is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity and has been broadcasting in the Texas Panhandle since 2023.
The GRN and the 48 stations across the network, are the fruits of a promise made by a group of lay Catholics forming the La Promesa Foundation in 1996.
The Promise
In a covenant of love to our Lord Jesus Christ and to Our Lady of Guadalupe we committed ourselves to:
- Protect the sanctity of life from conception until natural death.
- Carry out the Mission of Evangelization as called for by our Baptism.
- To help build strong holy families.
- To promote holy vocations.
With the inspiration from the two Holy Giants, St. John Paul II and his call for the laity's active role in the New Evangelization, and Mother Angelica, foundress of EWTN and her call for the laity to purchase radio stations, through the building up of Guadalupe Radio Network, we are dedicated to bringing “the good news of Jesus Christ to the culture and society.”
The first station went on the air in Midland, TX in 2000 and today, our 48 GRN stations have a potential reach of over 31,000,000 Souls.
We trust that God, through the generosity of our listeners, donors, and sponsors, will provide the necessary funds to carry out our mission of proclaiming The Holy Name of Jesus and the Truths of His Church through the powerful means of radio and digital media.

This year, we are deeply honored to welcome Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo as our Keynote Speaker. His powerful message, Compelled By The Call, promises to inspire hearts, strengthen faith, and awaken a renewed trust in God’s transforming grace. This is a sacred opportunity you won’t want to miss.
During the evening, we will also honor The Disciples of The Lord Jesus Christ, a Franciscan, charismatic religious community founded in 1972 by the late Mother John Marie Stewart. The Sisters are dedicated to leading others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Keynote Speaker:
Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo
Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo serves as Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Amarillo. His Eminence served as the metropolitan archbishop of Galveston-Houston from 2006 to 2025. Cardinal DiNardo has been a respected leader within the Catholic Church in the United States for many years.
Ordained a priest in 1977, he has served in parish ministry, at the Vatican, and as a bishop before being elevated to the College of Cardinals in 2007. He also served as President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2016 to 2019.

The Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ (DLJC) are a Franciscan, charismatic religious community founded in 1972 by the late Mother John Marie Stewart. Rooted in a deep life of prayer, praise, and fidelity to the Gospel, the Sisters are dedicated to leading others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
We are honored to recognize the DLJC as this year’s 'Fishers of Men' honorees, as their mission reflects a profound commitment to evangelization, service, and bringing souls closer to Christ.
